Bouncing and Rice Cereal

Mariah got a Johnny Jump-Up this weekend and she LOVES it!

Chewing on her fist, a state of normal for this babe.

She also had her first couple tries of rice cereal this weekend!

Here she's regarding the contents of the bowl inquisitively.


Now the spoon is in her mouth and she's not sure what to do with it.


She did swallow a little bit, but mostly drooled it all out!
Look at those huge cheeks!


At this point she let us know she was done!

Her second feeding she didn't like the cereal very much,
but we'll keep on trying it until we get the hang of things!

So grown-up a baby!

Mariah is officially 4 months today and she decided to try some new tricks. This morning in the bathtub she realized that she can kick and splash a bit. She's still small enough that we don't get soaked, but it was very fun to watch her play. Her second new trick was that she rolled all the way over, back to tummy and got her arm out! I know everyone says this, but they grow so fast! We have her 4 month appointment this week and we'll get to see exactly how big she is.

Roll over! Roll over!

She hasn't figured out how to pull her bottom arm out from under her, but other than that she's rolling over!

Starting to get frustrated.

No longer a Newborn!

Apparently 3 months is the line between newborn and infant, so Mariah has officially become an infant! Here are just a few recent pictures, hopefully I'll have more to post soon.

We have been really lucky because Mariah enjoys her bathtime. She doesn't splash yet (so we stay dry!), but she is always sweet in the tub!
